There are many ways to bring joy to our little Lincoln community. Here is one of MANY examples. Our Lincoln “Trunk-or-Treat” event was a success!
I asked a staff member, who was familiar with the event that took place prior to COVID, “How many should we expect?” — “Maybe around 300 people.” — Well, I’m no expert, but I would guess-ti-mate we had more than DOUBLE that amount. Just sayin’. 🙂
There were plenty of staff volunteers who came out to spread some joy. (Lots of staff who wanted to attend and help out, but had prior commitments as well.) Needless to say, last evening brought quite a few smiles to the faces of all ages… young and old! A HUGE shout out to our Lincoln PTA, Lincoln Preschool, community AND staff volunteers! Please, take a moment to enjoy the photos of a beautiful evening with our families. 🙂
Looking forward to all the other ways Lincoln School seems to “find a way” to bring our families together… simply for the purpose of finding JOY in being TOGETHER.
How do you think the event went?
Are there other ways we can bring our Lincoln Community together?

First off, thank you Brenda, PTA, and our Family Center for taking the lead in this special event! Shout-out to Fernando as well! 🙂
It takes a village to raise a child, and it certainly takes an entire school community to bring our students joy. The sense of COMMUNITY that an event like this establishes is extremely rewarding and worthwhile. It makes me feel lucky to work alongside with some of the most dedicated teachers I’ve ever met.
Some possible ideas to bring our Lincoln community together: Multicultural Night, Jog-a-Thon, Talent Show, STEAM Night
Thank you to our PTA members who chaired this event, Brenda and Jessica! They did a great job leading our parents and staff members in making this event happen.
I would like to see Lincoln host additional community events that are family oriented such as craft, movie or art night! In order to make this happen, we will need to think outside of the box as our cafeteria is way too small to host such large quantity of participants.
I love the idea of a book fair or a different book event that would be open to our community after school hours.
It would be wonderful to nurture the love of reading for entire families!
